Meta Shifts and More!
12:00am EST - It’s been one week since the update and the team is trucking on meta shifts, hotfixes, and more!

Exploit fixes
Blueprint Fragment System
A brand new blueprint fragment system is being tested, shaking up how progression and workbenches are unlocked. This is still very fresh and likely to change, but here’s what’s happening in commits right now:
Workbench T2 now requires 5 basic blueprint fragments to craft.
Workbench T3 now requires 5 advanced blueprint fragments to craft.
Two new fragment types have been added: damaged diagrams (Tier 2) and precision schematics (Tier 3).
A new basic blueprint fragment pickup always spawns on the red keycard desk in the blue puzzle room.
Elite crates can drop advanced blueprint fragments, with a reduced chance of MLRS ammo.
Hackable crates always include advanced blueprint fragments.
This is a big shift in loot and progression, tying puzzle runs and high-tier crates more directly into tech advancement. Definitely one to watch as it evolves.
Monument loot shuffle
Monument loot has gone through a major reshuffle this week, changing how puzzles and farming routes will play out across the map.
Launch Site: Loot spawns have been moved around, including into areas that previously had little reason to explore.
Airfield: All loot spawns have been repositioned, diesel is now behind the puzzle, and overall loot quantities have been boosted to match modern monuments. A long-standing bug from 2018 has also been fixed, restoring 5 extra loot spawns.Water Treatment Plant: Loot spawns have been shuffled, and diesel has been moved behind the puzzle.
Train Yard: Loot locations shuffled, max population bug fixed (so loot won’t overlap anymore), and more spawn points have been added.
Satellite Dish: Minor loot shuffle.
Small Oil Rig: No longer spawns in T0.
Junkyard: No loot location changes, but the building block zone is now a sphere.
Radtown Small 3: Minor loot spawn tweaks.
On top of that, crate spawns across all monuments have been switched to tier-based loot — meaning better loot chances when monuments spawn in T1 and T2 zones compared to T0.
All in all, these changes make monuments feel fresher, more rewarding, and worth revisiting, with more consistency across the board.
Meta Shifts
The team is working on some fundamental shifts to the meta of the game. Here are some of the changes we’ve seen so far:
Big change to Wooden Barricade Meta: stack size changed from 5 to 3 and HP dropped from 120 to 80
Shore Crates added and will spawn on T0 beaches. Loot tables not finalized yet but would expect some basic tools and beginner items
Drone Drops
Player-controlled drones are getting a big upgrade with the addition of a storage slot and the ability to remotely drop items. This means you’ll soon be able to send a drone out with a single item, then release it from the air. Alongside this, drones can now be shot down — SAM sites will target them, and autoturrets will fire on non-authed, player-owned drones (but still ignore marketplace drones). No confirmed date yet, but this feature is shaping up to land with the October update.
Bicycle Bunny Hop
Bikes just got a little bouncier. You can now bunny hop with right click, but there are a few ground rules: it’s limited to once every 3 seconds, only while grounded, not when waterlogged, and you’ll need at least 10% sprint left. Hops scale with speed and your remaining sprint, use proper physics with slope-aware force, and they burn 10% sprint per jump — so time them well if you’re trying to clear bumps or shake a pursuer.
Performance Impact
There’s been a growing wave of reports about performance drops over the last few patches, and the devs have officially acknowledged it. Alistair confirmed on X that things have indeed gotten worse, but assured players the team is tackling the issue head-on this month. Expect optimizations and fixes aimed squarely at improving framerates and stability.
