11/5 @ 2am - The latest server release on the development branch has not fixed locks disappearing on server restart. Server crashes still happening, forcing server restarts.
11/4 Update - We just wiped and are testing on the latest dev code. Maybe the lock fix is in now, I will test more later this evening.
11/3 Update - Although Garry committed a fix for the lock save bug, a server update has not launched yet to implement this fix. That means we are still running unstable code and are prone to crashes and wipes. I reiterate, if losing your shit is going to make you lose your shit, take a break from the game for a couple days!
The server code released yesterday is unstable. After running an undetermined amount of time, servers are kicking everyone and bugging out when people rejoin. The only fix for this is restarting the server.
The real shitty part is the bug that causes locks (key and code) to break when the server restarts. The net result is a bunch of people trapped in or out of their houses. Given this, if we crash and need to restart, I will be wiping the map and changing the seed.
I understand this is frustrating as fuck for you all. I get it and I wish this were not the case; it is simply the state of the game right now. If starting over a couple times this weekend is going to make you throw your computer out the window, I recommend you take a break from Rust for a couple days until a more solid build comes out.
